CHERY SOUTH AFRICA ANNOUNCES EXCITING UPGRADE TO TIGGO 4

Launched locally in November 2024, the TIGGO 4 has become a best-selling model in South Africa. With over 18 000 units sold in 2025, the range was ranked fourth among all passenger vehicles sold in South Africa last year.

Chery South Africa has today announced an exciting and significant upgrade to this already highly popular feature-rich series.

Available this month nationwide across the brand’s 92 dealerships, is the new TIGGO Cross LiT MT and the TIGGO Cross LiT CVT, both with a range of enhancements designed to improve safety, lighting, comfort and smart connectivity.

In terms of advanced lighting and safety, both the TIGGO Cross LiT MT and CVT come with bright LED headlights and full-width rear lights for better visibility, especially at night,  giving the car a modern futuristic look. From a safety perspective, Chery have added front side airbags, seatbelt pre-tensioners, and passenger seatbelt reminders for added safety, while smart cruise control, and electrically heated side mirrors keep passengers better protected when driving. Also now standard on these models is the rear-view camera which delivers clearer visibility and greater confidence when reversing.

Comfort and driving capabilities have been enhanced with faux leather seats, a rear centre armrest and a driver footrest on automatic models for relaxed long drives. Smart cruise control makes highway driving easier, while dual 10.25”digital screens give the cabin a sleek, high-tech look with clear, easy-to-read displays.

With technology playing an ever-growing role in the automotive competitive landscape, these upgraded LiT models put entertainment, connectivity, and convenience right at a driver’s fingertips.

The TIGGO Cross LiT MT and CVT allow owners to enjoy music, navigate with ease and stay fully in control with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, keyless one-touch start and a smart voice assistant. These models also now have an upgraded audio system for a richer entertainment experience.

The TIGGO Cross LiT MT is priced at R279 900 while the TIGGO Cross LiT CVT will retail at R309 900.
